0 · Pre-flight do first

Before testing, confirm the deployment is healthy and configured.

Health check — open /api/health.Expect HTTP 200 with "status": "ok", "db": "up". Env warnings — open the Render service logs and search for [env].Expect NO warnings. Any [env] line names a variable you still need to fill (email, origins, postal address, storage, JWT secret). Storage — logs show [storage] object storage ENABLED.If it says LOCAL DISK fallback, uploads will vanish on the next deploy — fill the S3_* keys. Email sender verified — your sending domain shows verified in the Resend dashboard, and EMAIL_FROM uses it.Without this every magic link, delivery email, and broadcast silently fails. One-time backfill — run npm run db:backfill-contacts once from the Render shell.Idempotent; safe to re-run. Only matters if the database has pre-existing leads.

All tests below use one fictional business so the data hangs together. Copy values from here as you go.

1 · Account & onboarding core

Sign up at /signup with your real email.Verification email arrives with a working link on the production domain (not localhost). Onboarding wizard completes and lands you on the dashboard; the welcome tour appears. Password reset — log out, use "Forgot password".Reset email arrives; new password works.

2 · Funnels & page builder core

Create from template — Funnels → New funnel → Lead category → Lead Magnet · Classic. Name it "Launch Checklist Funnel".Funnel appears with Opt-in / Download / Thank-you steps, each with a page. Lead magnet — Admin → Lead magnets → create "The 7-Day Launch Checklist", upload a PDF, then attach it to the funnel's opt-in step. Edit in the builder — open the opt-in page, replace the [bracketed] copy with Launchcraft copy, move a section, add a Testimonials block, save.The opt-in page already contains an editable form block (from the template). Publish + visit — publish the funnel, open /funnels/launch-checklist-funnel in a private window.Root redirects straight to the opt-in step; page renders your edits in both light and dark system themes. A/B variant — create a page variant of the opt-in with a different headline, publish it, reload the public page in several fresh private windows.Both headlines appear across visits; each browser keeps the variant it first saw. Page colours — with your OS in light mode, open the opt-in page in the builder: add a Blank section with no background and a bullet list, then a section with the White background preset and a heading; Preview.Dark page with light bullet text; the white section has dark text; the builder canvas looks the same. Switch your OS to dark mode and reload: identical. Funnel → Details → Page background #FFFFFF, save: the whole page turns light with dark text, canvas included. Add a page to a funnel — Admin → Templates → "Use" on any opt-in design. On the page that opens, click "Add to funnel", choose "New funnel", keep the Opt-in step type, submit.You land on the new funnel’s Details tab with the header/page colour fields; the page’s preview now shows that funnel’s name in the header; the Flow tab lists the step linked to the page. Page template library — Admin → Templates.The App Library shows 9 built-in designs; "Use" on Website Home creates an editable page.

3 · Lead capture & delivery the money path

Opt in as Lena (you+lead1@…) on the public funnel.Redirects to the download page with a working download button (the file downloads immediately — not "link expired"). Delivery email — check the +lead1 inbox.A branded delivery email with a backup download link that works; links point at your domain. Lead recorded — Admin → Leads shows Lena with funnel, UTM (add ?utm_source=test when opting in), and device info; she also exists as a Contact. Resubmit — opt in again with the same email.No duplicate lead; still lands on a working download page. Unsubscribe — from any marketing email footer later in section 5, click unsubscribe.Confirmation page → confirmed; the address stops receiving broadcasts/sequences.

5 · Email marketing core

Broadcast — Admin → Broadcasts → "Launch Playbook is live" to all leads, send now.Arrives in the +lead inboxes with your postal address and a working unsubscribe link; stats update. Scheduled broadcast — schedule a second one 5 minutes out.Sends automatically within a minute of its time. Sequence — Automations → Sequences → "Launch Welcome": Step 1 immediately ("Welcome to Launchcraft"), Step 2 after 10 minutes ("Your first launch step"). Test-enroll you+lead2@….Step 1 arrives within a minute; step 2 ~10 minutes later. Suppression — add you+lead2@… to the suppression list, send another broadcast.+lead2 does NOT receive it.

6 · Automations core

Welcome automation — trigger lead.created → action: send email ("Here's your checklist walkthrough") → wait 5 min → add tag engaged. Activate it, then opt in as a brand-new address (you+auto1@…).Email arrives; after ~5 min the lead has the tag; the run log shows a completed execution. No double-fire — opt in again with the same +auto1 address.The welcome automation does NOT run a second time (resubmits aren't "new lead").

7 · CRM core

Board bootstraps — open Admin → CRM.A default 5-stage pipeline appears. Opportunity — quick-create "Launchcraft × Acme workshop", value $1,500, contact Lena. Drag it two stages forward; add an activity note and a task; mark the task done.Weighted pipeline value updates with the stage. Win it — mark Won.Moves to the Won tab with a close date; summary tiles update.

8 · Courses & member portal membership

Build the course — Admin → Courses → "Launch Fundamentals" per the demo pack. For Lesson 2 paste the test YouTube URL as a normal watch link. For Lesson 3 upload a PDF or ZIP as the download. Set Module 2's lesson to drip after 3 days. Publish lessons, then the course. Manual enroll — Access tab → enroll you+student@….UI confirms AND the +student inbox gets a sign-in link (if email were broken, the UI would warn). Member login — open the magic link.Lands in /members showing the course; readable in BOTH light and dark browser themes. Player — open the course: Lesson 2's video plays in the embedded player (not a blank box); Lesson 3's file downloads; mark lessons complete and watch progress advance; the Module 2 lesson shows locked with an unlock date. Self-serve login — log out, request a fresh link at /members/login.Same response whether or not the email has access (no account probing); the link arrives for +student.

9 · Community membership

Create — Admin → Community → "Launch Lab", public, spaces General + Wins. Post a pinned official announcement ("Welcome to Launch Lab 👋"). Join & participate — add you+member@… as a member, sign in from their magic link, open the community.The feed shows the pinned official post with the brand badge; posting, commenting, and liking all work. Deep link — copy the community URL, open it directly in a new tab while signed in.The feed loads (no error page on refresh). Moderation — as admin: pin a member post, lock it, then ban the member.Locked post blocks new comments; the banned member loses access and sees no re-join button.

10 · Share funnels

Share — Funnel → Share tab → create a link. Open /share/f/<token> in a private window.Preview shows the funnel summary; claiming (with a logged-in account) imports a full copy.

11 · API & webhooks developers

Mint a key — Settings → Developers → create a key with contacts:read.Token shown once; then run:

Scope enforcement — call /api/v1/opportunities with the same key.403 with a clean error envelope (key lacks the scope). Outbound webhook — get a free URL at webhook.site, add it as an endpoint subscribed to lead.created, then opt in as a new address.Within a minute webhook.site shows a signed POST (check the X-FunnelGenie-Signature header); the delivery log shows SUCCESS. Docs — open /docs/api and /api/v1/openapi.json.Reference renders; the spec is valid JSON.

12 · Custom domains

Attach — on a funnel (or site), attach a spare domain/subdomain you control (e.g. go.yourdomain.com); add the TXT record; verify; add the CNAME.Verification succeeds; the funnel serves at the domain root (site domains serve all site paths) with a valid certificate. Mount a funnel on the website — Websites → your site → Pages → "Funnels on this website": pick a published funnel, path /launch, mount; add a /launch link in Navigation.yourdomain.com/launch shows the funnel, the opt-in continues to /launch/thank-you, and yourdomain.com/ is still the site. The same works at /sites/<site>/launch without a domain.

13 · Team, settings & billing

Invite an Editor — Settings → Team → invite you+editor@….Invite email arrives; the Editor can build funnels but cannot see billing/team/API keys. Integration — connect an autoresponder (e.g. Mailchimp) under Settings → Integrations, pick it on the funnel, opt in with a fresh address.The contact appears in the provider; sync errors (if any) show on the lead. Paddle (sandbox) — Admin → Billing: subscribe to Starter with Paddle's test card.Plan activates; plan limits reflect it.

14 · Languages & theme

Language switch — flip the dashboard to Spanish, then Japanese, click through Funnels/CRM/Courses.Everything is translated — no raw key names, no English leaks. Theme switch — toggle light/dark on the marketing site and check the landing page, /pricing, and the legal pages.All text readable in both themes; choice persists on reload.

15 · Analytics

Funnel analytics — after the tests above, open the funnel's analytics.Page views and opt-ins from your test sessions appear with conversion rates. Across the platform — Admin → Analytics.CRM value, course enrollments, community activity, and email counts reflect what you just did.

16 · Commerce only with NUXT_PUBLIC_COMMERCE_ENABLED=true + PayPal sandbox

Skip this section while the commerce switch is off (the default at launch).

Offer — create The Launch Playbook at $27 with the $9 order bump; add coupon LAUNCH20. Checkout — buy with a PayPal sandbox buyer, bump ticked, coupon applied.Order records with correct totals; receipt email arrives. 1-click upsell — accept the $97 upsell on the next page.Charges without re-entering payment. Access grant — attach the offer to the Launch Fundamentals course first, then buy with a fresh email.The buyer gets a member sign-in email and sees the course. Abandoned checkout — start a checkout, enter an email, close the tab.A recovery email arrives after the hourly scan.
